Eva- Maria Zoll is the founder and creative mind behind culturedesign.org.  She loves to ask questions and dig deep into all topics around emotions, relationships and brain research to understand the way we work, live and thrive as humans.  As the first employee of a tech company, she had the unique chance to build an organization from scratch and use it as her test ground to develop and gain experience in the role of a Culture Designer. With her hands on field-tested experience, she is now supporting companies of all sizes and forms to find and create answers to questions related to the architecture of people and business. In times where known structures are changing, power dynamics are radically shifting, a renaissance of relationships happens and our understanding of “leadership” is turned upside down, Eva-Maria believes that a transformation of work and organizations starts with our very own mental update and a new understanding of our emotional landscape and our capacity to form strong relationships.
Mariana Gutheil is the Co-founder of NoOne, a human-centered innovation and design consultancy in Brazil. She is extremely curious and sees a connection in the most disparate things. After working in communication innovation for over a decade, Mariana changed her path and specialized in Design Thinking at D-School in Berlin. That triggered a deep interest in understanding the power and amplitude of user experience design, and also ontological design: everything that we design is designing us back. In her current work as an innovation consultant, she helps organizations to reinvent themselves, their products and services and has done it successfully with companies such as Coca-Cola, Natura, Sicredi, Renner, Nike, Tactile, Globo. She has come to understand Culture Design as the B side of innovation processes which starts with us humans first.

Why

Culture is that thing which makes people thrive or leave. It’s one of those rare things which can’t be bought with fresh investment and there is still no service where you can subscribe to great company culture. Flat organizations aren’t the holy grail and won’t solve all problems. So far, the agile and hyped startup world seemed to provide a blueprint for all questions around the future of workYet, there isn’t and won’t be a blueprint solution. Answers to the question How do we work with each other? have to be found and designed every time again, by us.

What

Culture is no magic work. It can be designed the way we design our products and be treated with similar priority. It starts the moment you found a company or put a team together. Culture Design is about people, our relationship to each other and to existing business goals. Culture is happening at the interfaces of strategy, product, brand, and people. When understood as the operating system of humans, it’s not an “add-on” or “nice to have” but existential in every organization.
